Charles Taylor, born in South Los Angeles, is a dedicated life coach, mentor, and community advocate. Raised by his mother, in a single-parent home alongside his sister, Charles faced early challenges with his mother’s addiction and his sister’s mental health struggles. Charles became a father at 16 but was incarcerated soon after, serving 26.5 years before his release in September 2016.
While incarcerated, Charles made a life-changing decision to turn his struggles into strength. He joined the Timelist Group in 2008, where he participated in transformative workshops that helped him grow into a better father, mentor, and community leader. His work has focused on addressing issues like mental health, homelessness, and systemic poverty, offering practical solutions for sustainable change.
In partnership with his daughter, Charles co-founded Mental Health in the Hood, a community-focused initiative that addresses trauma, PTSD, the effects of poverty, single parenting, addiction, and violent crime in urban areas. This venture reflects Charles’s deep commitment to healing communities and creating opportunities for others to thrive.
Today, Charles Taylor is a sought-after life coach who blends his lived experiences with professional expertise to empower individuals to overcome adversity, embrace growth, and achieve their full potential. His journey from hardship to healing serves as an inspiring example of resilience and transformation. Charles remains dedicated to building bridges of understanding and crafting solutions for a better world.

Born in the California Institute for Women's Prison, Precious’s parents were absent due to being immersed in the gang and drug culture of Los Angeles. Struggling with her identity and low self-worth, she became involved in gang culture within her family and committed a gang-related offense at the age of 16.
